The buzz about Cliftonville

With the recent investment in Margate now spilling over into Cliftonville, the area is turning from tired and run down to trendy and cosmopolitan.  The properties are having a facelift and a vibrant community is building.  Here are some of the great reasons to take a trip to Northdown Road.

The Grain Grocer

Opening it’s doors last year, The Grain Grocer offers delicious, organic and healthy light lunches, organic coffee, herbal tea and a scrumptious selection of smoothies.

Cliffs is a little bit of everything: cafe, record shop and yoga studio. You can enjoy a coffee made with beans roasted on site and tuck into an unusual sounding ‘bacon doughnut’.

I absolutely love this. Of late I have grown to appreciate the places where I can unwind and work without being disturbed. The right balance between background noise and the absence of noise. It’s odd how silence can be as disruptive as too much noise is.
