There are al fresco options for everybody on the harbour arm from artisan coffee to a family friendly beach cafe.

BeBeached

With it’s bright colours and old school deck chairs this is a favourite with all ages.  BeBeached serve a delicious brunch and lunch menu with veggie options too.  They are licensed so you can relax with a cocktail and watch the world go by.

Mala Kaffe

Tucked away in the far corner of the harbour arm is Mala Kaffe, a little artisan coffee shop.  They serve a fusion of Scandinavian and British baked goods including gluten free brownies and vegan cakes, mouth watering pastries and rice crispy squares.

Lighthouse Bar

At the end of the harbour arm is the Lighthouse Bar.  It’s got a great outdoor space with chilled music playing through the day.  It’s slightly higher prices attract a more select crowd making it a great place to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine with views right across the beach.

Margate looks so colourful and beautiful. As a matter of interest, we have a seaside town called Margate in South Africa as well. I think it must have been named after this Margate.

Definitely due a trip to Margate this summer, it’s been on my list forever! I am making an effort this year to explore more British beaches and these places look great 🙂
